Dimora Bolsone is the ideal starting point for a visit to Garda Lake and the hinterland. It borders to the Vittoriale Degli Italiani, the last magnificent home of Gabriele D'Annunzio. The road from Gardone Riviera leads north to Gargnano or down through Salò to Sirmione, site of the famous Grotte di Catullo, the remains of the Roman villa where the Latin poet Catullus once lived for a while. The nearest towns are Brescia, Verona, Mantua and Venice, which needs no introduction. Behind us the mountains with beautiful paths for long or short trips.
Bolsone offers the utmost peace and tranquillity. Here you can sunbathe , read a book, relax or stroll throungh the park, but if you are searching for something different, here are a few suggestions.
It is possible to tour the lake by boat leaving from Gardone. It is also possible to reach Sirmione embarking about noon with lunch on board. This provides the opportunity for a visit to the center and the Grotto of Catullus and then return by boat in the evening.
We even offer the possibility to rent the typical motor boat (6HP) perfect for a romantic excursion on the lake. There is also available for rent, a selection of motor and sailboats of many types.
Numerous and prestigious golf courses are arranged in the close proximity.
This is the ideal place for hiking or simply going for a walk. This is the only way you can taste the Mediterranean atmosphere, the delightful colors and perfumes of nature and enjoy the small and often unseen creation wonders. We'll be very happy to give you maps with a big choice of walks.
It is also well worth attending one of the evening events held throughout the summer.
Leaving from Dimora Bolsone it is possible to visit several important gardens. As we have already mentioned ours, the others are: the Sigurtà Park in Valeggio sul Mincio, a very famous park and tourist destination and the Botanical Gardens here in Gardone Riviera. Both are worth visiting (we have illustrated brochures for both).
During your stay you are welcome anywhere in the park. Details of cultural events can be obtained from the leaflets in your room or by asking at reception. We also recommend the spa facilities of Terme del Garda in Colà di Lazise, where you can bathe in an enchanting small lake at a temperature of 37°C (even at night or in winter). Please remember that there are many excellent restaurants and trattorias in the area.
